Self Drafted Blouse / Moving Around the World
Turns out moving a family of five half way around Earth really eats into one’s recreational sewing time 😮
Months of pondering, planning, applying, packing, moving, house-hunting (whilst shuffling from one temporary accommodation to the next), getting the kids enrolled at a new school, starting a new job, finally finding a house, unpacking, adusting to a completely new life down under… phew! To say it’s been a lot would barely be scratching the surface.
But! The new studio is up and running so I’m finally picking up where I left off 8 months ago (😱) by documenting this #selfdrafted blouse in #atelierbrunettefabric (Shadow Night from the Fragments collection) which I whipped up back in May 2023.
This is my first time actually wearing it, (to be fair it did spend months at sea in a container). Mirror selfies will have to do for now, I can’t find my little clicky gizmo anywhere.
The blouse itself is not perfect, I have some pulling at the top button, not sure if it is just the button placement but ideally I think the whole placket/facing situation needs adjustment. Happy with everything else though. (And mostly happy to just be reunited with all my clothes again. It was a long time to be without my precious babies, haha!)
