I’m inspired by the slow fashion movement, zero waste sewing and our wonderful indie sewing community. I’ve been cultivating a #memade wardrobe since 2020 and I love dabbling in surface pattern design for fabric, as well as draping & drafting my own sewing patterns.
I taught myself how to sew back in 2008 and like most crafty types in the naughties I created a blog about DIY & upcycling and ran a popular Etsy shop selling handmade fashion accessories & jewellery.
I went on to content create for Mollie Makes Magazine and Gathered (and also worked in publishing, was an EFL teacher and co-authored educational books & magazines).
After a jam-packed decade living in London, my partner and I moved to the Bavarian Alps where we got married, had 3 kids and founded a couple of cosy Airbnbs. We spent 10 glorious years there.
We have since embarked on another adventure down under to Melbourne, Australia. I’m so excited by what this next stage of life will reveal.
